What people use them for

Growth, repair, and metabolic

People use peptides for a handful of reasons. We'll go over this at a high level before naming specific peptides.

The three big categories for peptide usage are growth, repair, and metabolic. Growth hormone peptides like CJC-1295 nudge your body to release more of its own growth hormone. People use these for recovery, better sleep, body composition, and anti-aging. Repair peptides like BPC-157 and TB-500 are used to speed up healing of soft tissue, tendons, and the gut. Metabolic peptides are the GLP-1 (GLP-one) compounds like semaglutide and tirzepatide, the ones behind the wave of weight-loss results you have heard about.

Beyond these three categories, there are peptides for focus, mood, immune support, longevity, and even for things like libido and tanning. We will cover those too.

A peptide being popular doesn't mean its effects are proven. Some uses are backed by human studies. Other peptides rest on animal data and posts from people on community forums. The next lesson is about telling those apart.
